The History

Our history begins in the stirring fifties.  In those days our firm founder, Dr. Fabio Tomas Vásquez Cabral, graduated with a law degree from the University of Santo Domingo. A strong and a brave man, he moved from his paternal home, at an early age, to seek his own destiny. Once graduated, Dr. Vásquez Cabral initiated a modest law practice that would eventually lead him to the pinnacle of success. He was greatly admired and respected by his peers.

Dr. Fabio Tomás Vásquez Cabral was a true visionary. By the late seventies, because of a successful professional practice he moved his office from the old downtown cask to an area which years later transformed itself to the financial and commercial center of the Dominican Republic's capital.

Upon his death in 1979, the doors of his offices were closed and remained so waiting for it's meritorious successor.

It was not until June 5^th, 1988, nearly a decade later, that his son, Manuel Ramón Vásquez Perrotta, with his empty briefcase in hand, but driven with dreams and hope, reopened the doors to his father's law offices exercising only the utmost respect, reverence, and honor.

Manuel Ramón Vásquez Perrotta describes that mystical moment:
" Before me stood the dusty and settled image of the office belonging to who once was a giant in the field of law. From that precise moment, I felt the weight on my shoulders of the heavy yet honorable challenge to maintain the prestige and noble name of the one who had left his permanent mark in the field of Justice, something I could simply not compromise".

From that moment on, the practice experienced an accelerated ascent earning a series of successes under its actual name - giving honor to both of his progenitors - Vásquez Perrotta Attorneys at Law (OVP). Their mission continues to be dedicated to the devotion, the character, the professionalism, and the honor of legal practice. These are all key elements to a professional practice that combines the respect for the discipline and the gravity of a ministry, in an environment in which we have achieved a delicate balance between unchangeable values and the ultimate technology.
