Talking about litigations, OVP has characterized by an indisputable presentation towards the country's tribunes, enriching the national judicial debate with groundbreaking proposals that distinguish OVP as an avant-garde firm.
OVP created a forum called, "The Juridical Chapters of Vásquez Perrotta Bureau". This is a monthly meeting designed to establish the framework in which the cream of our intellectuality express their ideas regarding legal subjects, economics, investments, the banking system, and Globalization, among other subjects. Several international personalities have honored these meetings. On the other hand, we have achieved a good standing based on newspaper articles, concerned with the most varied themes, always trying to contribute to the debate of the most relevant aspects of our nation's juridical tasks.
We have also participated in conferences and speeches regarding all fields of our profession: Civil, Commercial, Labor, Fiscal, Electoral, and others, throughout our territory. We were invited by the most prestigious institutions of the Dominican Republic, such as the Academy of Sciences, the Commission for the Reform and Modernization of the Nation, the "Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña" and the "Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra", just to mention a few.
By the end of 1996, The OVP created a completely new branch of the legal sciences, the "Dominican Data Processing Law", with the publication of the book: Computer and High Technology Crime in the Dominican Republic written by Manuel Ramón Vásquez Perrotta. The local press and professionals welcomed and recognized the book as both unique and the first of it's kind on this subject. Dr. Frederick Queen, a legal expert and Advisory Minister of the United States government also expressed his admiration of the book in a letter sent to us in which he describes the book as "excellent".
